Hi, I'm Lisa, the city girl about to be countrified, behind Dogtrot Acres.

I married my high school sweetheart, Brandon, and have been married for 26 short years. We have two sons, Caleb (21) and Conner (18), two dogs; Belle (6 months) and Brodie (12 yrs). I am currently navigating the gateway of the empty nesters' life with mixed emotions. I am learning to embrace all the beauty that comes with this stage of life:

-Independent and creative children (maybe I did something right?) Fly birdie, please fly birdie!!

-Time to foster passions I did not know existed for the past 48 years (design and blogging) 
-Embarking on the country life with our soon to be Dogtrot Farmhouse on 18 acres.

My husband and I, along with Jim and Somare Matson, own Hardwood Design Company.  I have been very active in the business; "hello, welcome to Hardwood Design Company, to contact the accounting department, payroll department, or marketing department, press 1 for Lisa. " 

I can't live without Coca Cola; it opens happiness for me. I love snuggling with my pups and having a cup of tea in the afternoon!
